A sentence imploring us to read more books, expressed in Tyrolean dialect, which to the ears of those who understand this robust language gives it even more urgency.

My friend suggested that a shopping bag, handed out by a well-known book shop, ought to be framed and made into a large cushion – embraceable and soft to the touch, though strict in its message to do what my friend considers an essential pastime for any civilised human being.

I did what I was told and will try and live up to its  point.
