This is my sketch of the May Day roll-up at the bowls club. It combines my old with my new passion – bowling and sketching.

Urban sketching – which really just refers to sketching what you see in your life – is a new passion for me. It started when I received a sketch book and waterproof pens as a gift. I am now getting slightly addicted to it.

Last weekend I attended a mass sketching session at Alexandra Palace with about 50 other sketch artists. It was great to see what other people decided to sketch and what wide range of styles was used.
