June is the time for marguerites and roses – all growing on the allotment.

Somehow, where once there were potatoes and beans, there are now roses, delphiniums and hollyhocks.

I just planted artichokes grown from seed – not something to feed a family with but an impressive plant that fits perfectly into flowerbeds.

Who needs a florist when you have a garden….
